1 orange zested and juiced
250 g flour
170 g sugar
70 ml milk
4 eggs
160 g melted butter ~ 12 table spoon
16g (1tbsp) baking powder
1 pinch salt
optional (powder sugar on top to dust the top if you are not lazy and want it all pretty)
Optional: Orange extract (1 teaspoon)
Beat the softened butter and sugar, until fluffy
Add the eggs one by one; make sure that the previous egg is completely absorbed before adding the next one
Add the milk and the orange zest
Add the flour, the baking powder and a pinch of salt
Add the orange juice
You can also add 1 teaspoon of orange extract
Pour the mix in a pre-buttered baking pan (ideally 22 cm ~ 9 inches in diameter) and bake in a static oven at 180 degree Celsius (~ 350 F) for 45 min. If you want, you can add a baking liner at the bottom of the pan.Â
Optional (if you care about the presentation of your cake): dust the top with powder sugar right before serving
