4 apples peeled and sliced
1 lemon zested and juiced
250g flour
200g sugar
150g whole milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter, room temperature
16g (1tbsp) baking powder
1 pinch salt
peel and slice apples into half-moons, sprinkle with lemon juice
butter and flour the baking dish, a 12in deep tart plate
preheat oven to 350deg
mix eggs and sugar, add butter and then milk
mix flour and baking powder then add to liquid mix
pour excess liquid from apples into the batter and mix
pour batter into baking dish and place apples upright in rings on top
bake in oven for 40 minutes until a tooth pick inserted comes out clean
