1.5lbs thin sliced pork shoulder (pork butt)
1 yellow onion sliced thin strips (not half rings)
4 green onions sliced (whites and greens)
1 spicy red pepper
1 tbsp ginger syrup
1 tbsp plum syrup
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp red pepper paste - Gochujang - 고추장
2 tbsp red pepper powder - Gochugaru - 고춧가루
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp sesame oil
If meat is frozen, defrost in the microwave being careful not to cook.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir including meat and onion.
Place rice in rice cooker.
Let meat mixture rest for 30 minutes.
Cook for approximately 10 minutes on medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
Serve with rice and side dishes.
