1 yellow onion
1lb ground pork (not sausage)
1/2lb shrimp minced
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp msg
sesame oil little bit - optional
160 round wrappers
1/2 tbsp flour
1 cup water
mix all the ingredients excluding the wrappers, flour, and water together in a bowl
fill each wrapper with 1 tsp of filling, pinch closed (using an empanada press works well)
mix water with flour
heat vegetable oil and dumplings until sizzling, about 1 minute
add water/flour mix to pan and cover for 7 minutes
remove cover and allow water to evaporate and flour to set
the uncooked dumplings can be frozen on cookie trays and packed into tupperware
the dumplings can be boiled as well
